Non-Toxic Wood Baby Toys
Hand crafted in America, my wood toys for babies are, priority #1, designed to be safe.  All  of these wood baby toys are  handcrafted out of hard Maple. I prefer Maple wood for baby toys because it will not splinter, is very durable and has been found to be non-allergenic, features especially important when  used as teething tools. The dark spinners are Black Walnut, another very hard wood and the light spinners are Maple. All corners are hand sanded to round smooth finishes and each is hand rubbed with a totally, non-toxic, lead free, "O" VOC, all natural bees wax based finish.  Please go to our Safety Issues page for a detailed description of this finish. I also use water proof glue, making each toy washable, without fear of it falling apart. Priority #2 is to make wood toys that babies like to play with and that they are stimulated by. Sound, feel and movement are important aspects of each toy I create. Many are filled with stainless steel BBs, which adds a rather soothing and stimulating sound to the toy.

I've left a little more room between the Maple & Black Oak spinners on this style, so you get a "clacking" sound from the spinners. This is a new idea I came up with that I thought might be pretty good. Small enough for a babies hands, it's a rattle and would work great as a teething toy. The wood is Hard Maple and I have finished it with three hand rubbed coats of a non-toxic, bees wax based finish. The handle is 2-1/2" long by 1" in diameter and the top is 2-1/2" x 3".

Made in America ~ Non-Toxic ~ Wood Baby Teething "Clacker"
This is a cute little design for a teething toy. Made out of Hard Maple, the two half round balls are connected to a 1/4" dowel running through the 1" Maple handle. When the toy is shaken, the dowel slides back n' forth, allowing the half balls to "clack" up against the ends of the handle. The total length is; 5" and the half balls have a diameter of 2".
