Handcrafted ~ One-of-a-Kind ~ Turquoise Inlay Custom Wood Kitchen Utensils
All of my custom wood cutting boards are handcrafted using only quality hardwoods. Each piece is selected for it's texture and grain and then I hand carve the designs, attempting to highlight the natural beauty of each individual piece of wood. The Turquoise used is mined from local Arizona & Nevada mines. I finish both sides of each board, so that you can use the back side for cutting and leave the front side as a showpiece for your kitchen. On the boards that I have laminated, I've used only construction grade, water based glue, which will not break down when your board is washed. The final finish is a hand rubbed coating of a non-toxic, food safe, bees wax based product which both protects and highlights the boards natural properties  Buffing will  bring up the shine. You can apply mineral oil occasionally to also renew the shine. These boards should only be washed and dried by hand. DO NOT put in dishwasher. Also, the Turquoise stone inlay will not be damaged by chopping., nor will it damage or dull your cutting blades. If you compare these custom cutting boards to other, comparable boards, you will find that my pricing is half the costs found on other on-line retail stores. I eliminate the middleman and pass the savings onto you..  I  also back the quality of my boards, 100%, so you're not getting an inferior quality product, just because it's cheaper in price.. All of my wood kitchen utensils are also one of a kind, very unique and handcrafted.  Most of my work is done using Mesquite Wood, which is one of the hardest woods available.

This beautifully grained custom wood cutting board was made by laminating pieces of Sonoran Mesquite, (end caps) to a piece of Sonoran Mesquite together and then inlaying the spalted areas with Arizona Turquoise. It was then hand rubbed with a non-toxic, food safe, bees wax based finish. See our "Safety Issues" page for a complete description of this product.  Water proof glue and 1/4" Maple dowels, is also used in the laminating process, insuring your custom wood cutting board will stay in one piece when cleaned. The finished board is; 8-1/2" x 11-1/2" x 3/4" and would make a marvelous cheese cutting board.

This stunning, one of a kind, wood chopping block was handcrafted out of 1" x 3" x 17" strips of rough sawn Sonora Mesquite.Each piece was planed, doweled and glued together with a construction grade, water proof glue.Soft wood and spalted areas were then hand carved to be finished and filled in with Arizona Turquoise. After several final sandings, I applied three coats of a non-toxic, food safe, bees wax based finish. The finished block measures; 16" x 7-1/4" x 3" thick and has four, non-skid,  feet screwed down to the underside.

Turquoise Inlay Custom Cheese Board
This is a very unique and distinctively patterned board. I've combined a small strip of Sonora Mesquite with a larger piece of Black Walnut, which has a lovely streak of white running through it. I then inlaid Arizona Turquoise into the spalted areas of the wood and finished off with hand rubbed coats of a non-toxic, food safe, bees wax based finish. The two pieces of wood were laminated together, using Hard Maple dowels and construction grade, water-proof, wood glue, so I guarantee your board won't be falling apart in a couple of years. The size is: 10" x 6".
